Old and New Stop Motions

Image result for the nightmare before christmas
The techniques that are used for The Night Before Christmas is clay and puppets and they was shooting 24 frames a second to create this stop motion. They created four characters Jack Skellington, the Mayor, Oogie Boogie and the Doctor Finklestein. The Nightmare Before Christmas was very popular and it was released on October 29, 1993. I feel about this video happy. The Nightmare Before Christmas was very effective the animators had to create unique motions for 110,000 frames in total. One minute of the film took for a week to shoot which took them 3 years to make. The difference between old stop motion and a new stop motion is a old stop motions uses puppets and new stop motions use clay and a 3D coloured printer they also make it hand made. The similarities between old and new stop motions is you have to make loads of facial features and their emotions. This technique has changed by adding colour in old stop motions they used to use black and white but now in old and new stop motions they use colour. Yes technology has helped by adding colour and this made a big difference.

Image result for ParaNormanThe techniques that are used for Paranorman is clay and they also used modern drawings in black & white, character sketches in storyboards and it is in full colour in digital paintings they also use a wire-frame armature. And the mediums that was used was a 3D coloured printer this was to create the characters faces It took them 1 hr and 33 minutes to make Paranorman and it also took them an entire week just to create the stop motion of the production to complete between 1-2 minutes of the movie footage. They had 60 puppet maker workers to create 178 individual puppets for the film Paranorman the 3D colour printer had made about 8,000 faces for Norman with a range of individual pieces of brows and a mouth which allowed him to have 1.5 million facial expressions. It was very popular when it was released it was available to stream with Prime I feel very happy when this video came out. It was very effective for the time when it was created it took 92 mins and it was released on 14 September, 2012. The difference between old and new stop motions is it in the olden times they used to use materials like stone and other materials and some stop motions use clay and puppets. The similarities between old an new stop motions is they didn't used to have colour back then in the 19th century and we now have colour. Yes the techniques has changed for old and new stop motions. Technology has helped a lot.

The techniques that they used for Early Man was clay and stone, stone cores, sharp stone flakes and the mediums they used was hand-axes, and other large cutting tools they also used awls which was used for perforate hides, scrapers which was useful when hiding wood and other materials early humans used these tools to cut, pound, crush, and access food even meat from larger animals which was used to butcher animals. The early humans used to wear sari turbans and dhoti. It took them 8 weeks to shoot and the film lasts 1 hr and 40 mins they made 18 characters, Early man was very popular and it was released on 26 January 2018 I think the video is good. The stop motion was very effective for the time it was created. The difference between old and new stop motions is some stop motions do it free-hand and some just use 3D coloured printers to do the job or clay, puppets. The similarities between these two are some take a long time to make. Technology has changed by using new brands which allowed us to make stop motions. Technology has helped by making new brands.
The techniques that are used for Isle of  Dogs is clay and dog puppets and the mediums that are used is large, medium, small and extra small for the dog puppets which was made by hand. It took them nearly a minute to make this stop motion. They made 27 characters it was very popular and it was released on the 30 March 2018 and I feel very happy for this film. It was very  effective the stop motion for the time it was created. The difference between old and new stop motions are some are about the stone- age and others are about zombies, dogs and moneys, beetles. The similarities between old and new stop motions are some are about adventure and some are about horror. Technology has changed by allowing us to make 3D or 2D animations.

Kubo and the two strings.

Image result for kubo and the two stringsWhat I expected from the film was that Kubo was going to be with his parents and get back his other eye. The type of film Kubo is a adventure, family film, Fantasy, animation and a action film. Yes Kubo and the two strings has a message that you will always have family. Kubo's aunties, Mum and Grandfather are bad and want to kill Hunzo but later on Kubo's parents fall in love and have a son named Kubo. However Kubo's aunties and grandfather intend to still his eyes but only manage to still one.Yes the plot makes sense about his family wanting to steal his eyes and yes it is easy to follow. It is believable. Kubo is the main character, His parents, aunties and Grandfather. Kubo is brave and caring/kind his mum was strong and also brave while his dad is fearless and strong/kind. The actors are Charlize Theron who plays as the money, Matthew McConaughey as the beetle, Art Parkinson as Kubo, Ralph Fiennes as Raiden the Moon King, Rooney Mara as the evil sisters, George Takei as Hosato, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa as Hashi, Brenda Vaccaro as Kameyo, Ken Takemoto as Ken, Minae Noji as Minae, Alpha Takahashi as Aiko, Laura Miro as Miho and  Meyrick Murphy as Mari and these are also the voice actors who are playing these parts from Kubo and the two strings. Yes they are good at playing these parts. The camerawork/animation is like hand-made and it is a fantasy/adventure. They used visual effects instead of special effects which created a world disaster for the deep water horizon and they crafted a reality- bending sequence. Yes there are beautiful scenes of Kubo and his mother. Yes there are moments when the camera is used in a interesting way such as when Kubo defeated his aunties and grandfather who was trying to still his other eye and when his mum was fighting her sisters to stop them from stealing her son's eye and used her magic to  become a money. Yes I enjoyed the film because Kubo defeated his enemies. The good parts was when Kubo made paper characters and told the people a story about the moon king who defeated his enemies. And the bad parts was when Kubo's mum was killed by her sisters and used the last of her magic to become a money and also when Kubo's dad was turned into a beetle. The scene I practically enjoyed was when Kubo told them a story about the moon king and Hunzo. It was good/memorable because he tells very good stories and it became real. I would recommend this film the sorts of people I would give it to would be people who love adventure films, family films, fantasy and action films because its more interesting and it feels like your actually there. This film compares to Spirited Away.

Different types of Taglines
My favourite tagline is The Originals because they would always put family first 'Always and Forever' indicates that they will always be there for one and another. My favourite character is Klaus Mikaelson (Nicklaus) who is a hybrid (who is a werewolf and he is also a vampire) I also like Rebekah Klaus's younger sister who is a vampire and his daughter Hope, she is a tribrid (which is a witch and a werewolf but she has vampire blood in her system)who is the only one of her kind she can also make hybrids with her blood. I also like Hayley. I like Klaus because he would do anything to protect his family no matter what and the other reason why I like him is because he wouldn't let anyone harm his daughter he would try and keep her safe hes a good dad and he wants his daughter to have a good life whereas he had a terrible childhood his step-father Mikael would beat him and torched him he also killed his favourite horse right in front of him he wants his daughter to have a better life than he did. Hayley and Klaus both had a bad childhood and they are the parents of Hope Andrea Mikaelson I forgot to mention that Hayley is a werewolf and Klaus had 6 siblings but Henrik died by getting killed by werewolf's Klaus now has 5 siblings Freya (Witch)oldest sibling, Finn (Vampire) second oldest, Elijah (Vampire) third oldest, Klaus (Nicklaus) (Hybrid werewolf and he is also a vampire) forth oldest, Kol (Vampire) turns into a witch fifth oldest and then its Rebekah (Vampire)youngest sibling. Also I forgot to mention Klaus needs his older brother Elijah to make sure he doesn't go mad hes the only one that can help him.

Writing a Film Review
Image result for fantastic mr fox

What I expected from the film was that Fantastic Mr Fox was not going to lose his tail and be tail-less I wasn't expecting him to steal from people and from shops, I thought he wasn't going to be hunted. Fantastic Mr Fox is a animation, adventure film, family film, comedy and a crime film. It does have a message that you should not steal from shops or people you should just appreciate what you have (family) and that you should protect your family even if they're in danger. Mr Fox steals from supermarkets and he and his wife Mrs Fox end up in a cage and she reveals to her husband that she is pregnant with their first child and he is shocked then his wife told Mr Fox to keep a promise not to steal so he promises not to steal again and their child grows up and his nephew has to live with them because his dad or grandpa is ill or gran-dad so he has to live with his uncle and cousin and his uncle's wife until hes better but Mr Fox's and Mrs Fox's son doesn't get along with his cousin and later on Mr Fox goes behind his wife's back and steals chickens, turkeys, ducks and geese but pretends that he got it from the shop with a price-tag on it. She soon finds out and gets angry with him because he promised he would never steal again later on a rat tries to threaten Mr Fox and his accomplice and his nephew by threatening them with a knife when they try to get food and drink for their families but after that Mr Fox and Mrs Fox's son goes missing and his nephew they try to get back his tail but they don't succeed and the son loses his cousin but the 3 farmers  Boggis,Bunce and Bean took Mr Fox's nephew away and locked him in a cage where he is to starve and die or thirst they thought that he was Mr Fox's son but it was actually his nephew they kidnapped they also shot Mr Fox's tail off and he thought he was going to be tail-less so they all find out that his nephew is missing and they found him blind folded and tied up. Mr Fox also managed to get his tail back but it was shredded. I forgot to mention the rat died but before he died he tried to take their son and he put him in a bag but Mr Fox managed to get their son back the rat died by getting a electric shock. Yes the plot makes sense and it is easy enough to follow It is believable. The main characters are Mr Fox and his family also the 3 farmers Boggis, Bunce and Bean they are horrible people who want to kill innocent animals while Mr Fox and his family are kind and caring. The actors voices actors are Wes Anderson (Weasel), George Clooney (Mr Fox), Bill Murray (Badger), Meryl Streep (Mrs Fox), Jason Schwartz -man (Ash), Owen Wilson (Coach Skip), Willem Dafoe as the rat, Michael Gambon as Franklin Bean, Wallace Wolodarsky as Kylie, Eric Chase Anderson as Kris, Jarvis Cocker as Petey, Hugo Guinness as Nathan Bunce, Jeremy Dawson as the Beaver's son, Allison Abbate as the Rabbit's Ex -Girlfriend, Helen McCrory (Mrs Bean), Adrien Brody (Rickity the Field Mouse), Steven M Rales (Beaver), Karen Duffy (Linda Otter), Brian Cox (Action 12 Reporter), Tristan Oliver (Explosives Man), Juman Malouf (Agnes), Roman Coppola (Squirrel Contractor), Garth Jennings (Bean's son), Mario Batali as the Rabbit, Andrea Sawatzki, Christian Berkel, Reiner Schone, Jurgen Kluckert, Sebastian Schulz, Dascha Lehmann, Michael Pan, Till Hagen, Markus Pfeiffer, Joachim Tennstedt, Uli Krohm, Robin Kahnmeyer, Bernhard Volger and Sonja Deutsch and yes they are very good at playing these parts The camerawork is a wide angle, high angle and low angle and the animation is a stop motion film which they used puppets. There are no special effects and yes they are beautiful scenes. Yes there are moments when the camera is used in a interesting way. I did enjoy the film because Mr Fox was going to save his nephew but what I didn't like about the film was when his nephew was kidnapped and they thought that was his son, also when Mr Fox lost his tail. The good parts was when Mr Fox rescues his nephew and when his nephew and son help to get back his tail also when Mr Fox and Mrs Fox stop the rat from taking their son away in a bag and the bad parts was when Mr Fox was stealing from the 3 farmers and pretended that he got it from the supermarket when actually he stole it I also think that this was a bad part when Mr Fox's family was being hunted by Boggis,Bunce and Bean. The scene I particularly liked was when Mr Fox said to Mrs Fox his wife Honey I don't want to live in a hole it makes me feel poor and when his wife said We are poor but we are happy it was good/ memorable. I would recommend this film to young children and adults because its very fascinating and it is a familyanimation, adventure film, comedy and a crime film. It also is very interesting for young children and adults. This film compares to Finding Nemo.

The form, shape and space she used was curved for the eyes, small eyes and large also round, the tones she used was bright colours for the hand and eyes, smooth eyes, the patterns/textures that are used is the eyes are bold and stand out, she also uses 2D shapes for the eyes and for the lips its smooth/flat, She uses a thick and light line for the lips, eyes, hand there are vibrant colours used in her collages, Bold, bright also she uses a secondary source to create this collage. I like this work because it stands-out and its very creative and what I don't like about it is its all spread-out. If I could change one thing about this art work it would be to make it look more presentable. This art work gives me the following ideas for my photo-monatage to make it vibrant and colourful instead of spreading it out.
